Shots for Tots
Since 1995, West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) has served the area as a Shots for Tots program site. Shots for Tots is a joint effort between WCCH and the Office of Public Health to provide a low-cost, or free, immunization opportunity to the local community. The purpose of the partnership is to increase the immunization rate in the State of Louisiana, especially in the childhood population (birth to 4 years of age) among those who are uninsured or underinsured.
The Shots for Tots program provides immunizations for children (6 weeks of age - 18 years of age) who are
- Uninsured
- Underinsured, (vaccines are not covered by insurance)
- Medicaid
- American Indian/Alaskan Native
Cost is $10 per person, cash or check.
