The West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital (WCCH) Foundation is a vital non-profit organization committed to enhancing the health services available in Southwest Louisiana. Established in 1995, this foundation offers philanthropists and humanitarians an opportunity to make a significant impact through tax-deductible donations. These contributions are crucial in enabling WCCH to acquire essential medical equipment, participate in health-related community activities, fund specific programs chosen by donors and assist patients across Sulphur, Westlake, Lake Charles, Vinton, Hackberry and Carlyss.

Empowering Community Wellness

Restructured in 2010, the WCCH Foundation comprises a fifteen-member board dedicated to bolstering the hospital's capabilities and community outreach. By funding operations for outpatient services such as oncology, radiology, laboratory and orthopedics, the foundation is critical in improving healthcare accessibility and quality in Southwest Louisiana.

Supporting Our Mission Through Community Engagement

The WCCH Foundation organizes annual events to garner support and further its mission of aiding the hospital and community betterment.

Our events include:

• Annual Mac Burns Golf Tournament — Proceeds from this event support patients, community initiatives and hospital operations through the WCCH Foundation. Additionally, an annual scholarship is awarded to an outstanding high school senior within the hospital service district who plans to pursue a medical degree at McNeese State University.
• Wine Down, Vino 101 — The event offers an engaging introduction to wine education, teaching attendees the fundamentals of white and red wines and their ideal food pairings. Proceeds support the Calcasieu Community Clinic fund, delivering essential healthcare services to low-income, working and uninsured individuals across the five-parish Imperial Calcasieu region.
• Ethel Precht HOPE Breast Cancer Walk —Driven by Ethel's dedication and passion, this annual event raises essential funds to support individuals in Calcasieu and Cameron undergoing breast cancer treatment. It has grown into a cornerstone community initiative for breast cancer awareness.

These events not only raise funds for our Foundation and further our mission, but also foster a sense of community, highlighting the importance of collective effort in enhancing healthcare services.
